WRTC begins coverage on site at noon with Zikini taking the stage in front of the Austin Arts Center.
Trinity Professor of Music Eric Galm produces the annual fest as “a way to pay tribute to the many communities represented throughout greater Hartford — celebrating Hartford as a dynamic Caribbean-influenced city.”
This year’s fest features three Brazil-based groups: headliner Confraría do Groove (Groove Brotherhood), Quarteto Pirá and OUTPLANET.
Also appearing are Bomba Fusion with Nelson Bello; Hartford’s Proud Drill Drum and Dance Corp; and the Trinity Samba and Steel ensembles.
